Pattaya To Chiang Mai By Bus
People living in Pattaya really have two choices if they want to travel to Chiang Mai by bus. They can take the once daily minibus which will collect passengers directly from their hotel or house or they can take the Nakhon Chai Air bus service.
The minibus can be booked from just about any travel agent in Pattaya. Expect to pay in the region of 1,900 Thai Baht one way.
To Chiang Mai by Minibus
The Nakhon Chai Air bus, more a luxury coach really, has several departures during the day. You will though have to make your own way up to the bus station on Sukhumvit Road. The bus starts its journey in Rayong and picks up its Pattaya passengers at the Sukhumvit Road bus station.
The Nakhon Chai Air bus station is located on 30/7 Moo 9, Sukhumvit Road close to the Pattaya Klang intersection.
The bus journey is approximately 10-12 hours. Only a little less in time travelled than the bus journey to Phuket in the south. The driving distance is 834 Km. There are varying rest stops through the journey.
