Virtual Sex Is Coming

Updated on June 22, 2011

Virtual Sex is coming... and if you aren't or you haven't then it is not working for you. Seriously though it is not for me but I recognise that it is different strokes for different folks. Virtual Sex is Sex For Sale.

It is all a bit mind boggling but there are software (or hardware if that's your bag) attachments today that fit over or into those more sensitive parts of your anatomy which sychronise with your computer. This is supplemented by on screen video and takes you into a world of pleasures you probably never thought of before. Stimulated, Or should that be simulated?... the science of dildonics has not yet reached the levels of the 'Orgasmotron' as in the movie 'Sleeper' but it is getting pretty close.

Cyber Sex is the new sex and for some it is the only sex they are going to have. That said it is far more popular than people care to admit. It is a bit like an iceberg where only the top is exposed but underneath there are thousands, millions even who deny or don't realise they are part of it.

Flirting over the telephone is Virtual Sex. Calling up one of those chat lines in the back of your magazine or newspaper definitely is. Here the sex is anonymous. Sex with a stranger. A fantasy that appeals to many but is openly admitted by very few.

Sext messaging, sorry that should be 'text' messaging is all too popular. Never sent one from myself but have composed and sent dozens on behalf of Thai Bar Girls. Fun to do but I did not feel anything stirring in my loins.

Emailing. Yes that is, or rather can be Virtual Sex too. You only have to look for the almost weekly scandals that appear in the newspaper. Someone presses the send button too soon and the world knows all about their hot relationship and what exactly they would like to do to each other.

Cute

Then there is the online chatting. This can be one to one or in cyber rooms. You can use a camera to show the 'real' you or perhaps take on the guise of an avatar yo carry on your romance. The camera was the big advance over 'straight' text messaging. A camera in the privacy of your own room can be a tremendous advantage. I have witnessed girls bending themselves into quite unnatural positions to take advantage of the cameras in public internet cafes.

Interactive games are possibly the obvious Cyber Sex medium and are there to satisfy a variety of fantasies. Here you can enter into a 'relationship' with a porn star or a high school crush. The games designers are human, they know what people want.

Coy? Can an Avatar be coy?

It is in the Virtual World that Cyber Sex is really at home. In the world of role playing game there appears to be no limits. Here you are in control of your time. You can choose who you want to have sex with and when you want. You can live out your most wicked fantasies. In theory your partner will never have a headache and you will not catch a sexually transmitted disease. However such is the authenticity of the Virtual world that such realities of life can be programmed into your cyber life. Here you can enter into an intimate relationship with someone you will never meet.

If you find it difficult to get your head round the concept, think of Wii. Wii is all too popular today. It has taken the gaming world by storm and gone beyond it. Today, in the comfort of your living room you can bowl, play golf, box, jog. I don't suppose they have come up with the Cyber Soapy Massage yet, but it can only be a matter of time. The present list is endless. You can play alone or against the computer or with a partner. Okay now think Wii Sex and with your partner is in another country and you are halfway to understanding Virtual Sex in the Virtual World. If you think I am joking, the game exists.

Virtual Sex in Second Life

Perhaps the Sims are more your scene. There is sex there too. Sex is rampant in the Virtual world.

You may think that Cyber Sex means that you need never consider the services of a prostitute. You might not. You may well be very happy with your Virtual partner but the Cyber World is full of Virtual Prostitutes. Sexy avatars who are more than willing to help you live out your fantasies for a price.

Is Virtual Sex cheating? This is a personal thing, it will depend on your definition of what cheating is. There is actually a place for Cyber Sex within the 'normal' relationship where a couple are parted for long periods of time. I don't suppose anyone would think twice where it was a bit of hot adult conversation but when it goes further than that does it become abnormal? What is normal anyhow?

I think we have to recognise that Virtual Sex is the only sex that some people are getting today and the situation will intensify. One survey of Canadian students found that 87% admitted to have indulged in Cybersex. I don't think the statistics are surprising because other independent studies have found that the increase in Virtual Sex is 'on the rise' and that some people actually prefer it to real sex.

Is Cyber Sex socially acceptable? Well judging by the number of people doing it then yes it must be. Is it Safe Sex? Yes and No. There are the huge internet bills that could build up if you became addicted. Then there is your real life, your real terra firma relationship. The number of divorces or partners splitting today that cite....someone they met on the internet. There is a genuine worry. But then if your relationship is strong in the first place you will have nothing to worry about, will you? The real problem in the world of Virtual Sex is that, depending on the level you are playing at, you don't know the real age, appearance or sex of the person you are having a relationship with.

My experience with Cyber Sex is based solely on hearsay and research. My only practical experience was with 'Leisure Suit Larry' and I could never figure out how he could leave the airport let alone get his leg over. Although the Virtual Sex pendulum really does swing both ways, and to the side a bit too, there were facets that I found disturbing. I don't like the disrespect shown to women in some of the games. But then as long as only consenting partners are involved and no-one gets hurt who am I to judge?

Virtual Sex is the new sexual revoloution. Anything is possible
