World's Sexiest City

Without a shadow of a doubt, Pattaya in Thailand is the World's Sexiest City. It is not infrequent to see various magazines listing the top ten Sexiest Cities in the World. Practically every year one magazine or another will produce such a list.

The magic word 'sex' sells magazines as well as much else. Many extremely unlikely cities are listed as sexy city candidates and reasons for their inclusion are a bit of a mystery. In fact there is hardly a city anywhere that has not been included at some time (with the possible exception of Jeddah).

One can understand Rio and Paris, Amsterdam and Rome but Perugia or Liverpool? The list goes on. Whilst not denying that these cities all have something to offer and some even actually do border on the sexy I do not think they should be topped with a crown. The really odd thing about all of the World's Sexiest City lists is that all fail to ever include Pattaya in Thailand. Bangkok sometimes gets a mention. That suggests to me that the writers has actually been to Thailand. Sadly they did not take the two hour drive from there to Pattaya.

In my mind there really is no arguement. Pattaya is the World's Sexiest City.

Pattaya is sexy because it is. Sexy is erotic. Sexy is exotic. Sexy is fun. Sexy is safe. Sexy is tropical. Sexy is music. Sexy is flirting. Sexy is beautiful women, Sexy is different. Sexy is dancing. Sexy is laughter. Sexy is luxury. Pattaya is all of these. Pattaya is the sexiest city in the world.

It would appear that there are some who gauge sexy on culture. This would not be the measure that I would use and I daresay many others would not use it either.

Pattaya has a wonderful, exciting, entertaining, buzzing nightlife. This is what makes Pattaya sexy. It does though have much to offer during the day as well. There are some fantastic golf courses, cinemas, cultural shows, shopping, swimming pools, beaches, islands, elephant riding, bowling, pool, massage, temples, jungle treks, birdwatching, zoos. The list goes on.

The hotels go from super luxury down to budget. There is something to suit every pocket. Pattaya is not expensive unless you want it to be.

The Thai food is wonderful but the International cuisine is there too. Swedish, Bavarian, Swiss, Indonesian, India, Iranian, Arabic...you could eat from a different nationality restaurant for a month...or eat from the street hawkers.

There is something for everyone in Pattaya. Families as well as singles, straight or gay or something in between. Maybe none of these BUT

Pattaya IS the World's Sexiest City.
